Dr Hasan has been awarded the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in concert with the National Science Foundation. This award was bestowed due to her significant contributions made in the field of mentoring and in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
