Areeba Khalid, undergraduate student from Adelphi University Long Island, NY, was part of the Hasan Lab’s 2018 summer’s HST-Wellman Center for Photomedicine Summer Institute for Biomedical Optics.

Under the Mentor ship of Dr. Hasan, Akilan Palanisami, PhD., Yanfang Feng, PhD. and Shoaib Ashraf, PhD., she worked on the project entitled “Characterizing the growth kinetics of a single bacterium to predict antibiotic resistance”.

Areeba received honorable mention eposter presentation in biology for her project in Adelphi university’s Annual Research Conference held on April 17 2019.
