Congratulations to Shazia Bano, PhD., Marvin Xavierselvan, Michael Pigula, Amjad Khan, PhD. from our lab for winning poster awards at the 17th International Photodynamic Association World Congress held in Boston, MA from June 28 – July 04 2019.

Shazia Bano, PhD. a postdoctoral fellow and Marvin Xavierselvan a graduate student won the Poster of Prestige award.

Shazia Bano received the Thomas J. Dougherty Award for her work on “NIR light triggered photoimmuno-nanoconstructs for tumor specific accumulation, penetration and targeted destruction of pancreatic cancer cells in a clinically relevant 3D heterocellular model”

Marvin Xavierselvan received Peoples’ Choice Award for his work on “Photosensitizer loaded photoacoustic nanodroplets for oxygen enhanced photodynamic therapy” 

Michael Pigula and Amjad Khan won the Poster of Excellence award for presenting their individual work at the conference.
