Tayyaba Hasan, PhD receives Outstanding Achievement Award in Cancer Research

Dr. Tayyaba Hasan, along with eight other scientists were honored for their outstanding contributions in the field of Cancer research by Society of American Asian Scientists in Cancer Research (SAASCR). The Awards were presented at the Annual American Association of Cancer research meeting in Chicago, IL on April 15, 2018.

  Hasan is a Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and a Professor of Health Sciences and Technology (Harvard-MIT), her research includes photochemical approaches to treatment and diagnosis of disease primarily in the areas of cancer and infections. She has over 248 publications and 23 inventions from research funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Department of Defense and Industry grants and leads a NCI funded multinational Program Project grant focused on image-guided treatment of pancreatic and skin cancers and an International consortium on developing low cost enabling technologies for image-guided photodynamic therapy of oral cancer.
